• After I updated WP Super Cache to 1.5.8 from 1.5.7.1 in one of the websites using the plugin, it started showing the “white screen of death”.

Now the error log has the following message (I’m omitting doing_wp_cron’s number and writing xxxxxxx instead):

PHP Warning: Parameter 1 to dynamic_cache_test_filter() expected to be a reference, value given in /var/www/html/aspinnews/7/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/wp-cache-phase1.php on line 457, referer: https://aspinnews.com.br/7/wp-cron.php?doing_wp_cron=xxxxxxx

I reverted WP Super Cache to it’s previous version, 1.5.7.1, at https://aspinnews.com.br/7, that’s why anyone taking a look this URL now is not going to see a blank screen.

Taking a look at the function do_cacheaction, containing the line the error message points to, in wp-cache-phase1.php wasn’t much helpful so far. I’m googling around for a solution. In the mean time, I’d appreciate help to find out the cause of the problem.
