Upgrade to Pro deleted previous version

Please help. I created my webpage using the free Mesmerise template within WordPress, which I love and fits my business perfectly. A couple of days later, I purchased the Pro Mesmerize package in order to easily customize my pages.

However, when I upgrade to the pro version it automatically deletes my background image and changes the theme of my website.

I want to have the original (free) theme and the upgraded pro features. It may be important to note that it worked perfectly fine for weeks this way before I started adding additional page templates to my site. Now I only have the option of using the free theme without the upgraded features. Or use the upgraded feature but lose the background image, colors, and theme that I love so much.

I’m sure there is a fix. I’ve been struggling with the issues for weeks. Please, please help.
