The upgrade to ver. 6.8.3 states that the only change from the previous version is “Rename assets folder”. May I ask exactly which folder is to be renamed and what is the new name?

In fact, when I tried to install the upgrade, WP displayed a message that it failed—try again later. However, when I tried again WP reported the version as up to date, with nothing to upgrade. So I need to check that the upgrade really did what it was supposed to do.

    Hi @josiah-s-carberry,

I had to rename a folder due to case-sensitivity issues that some Windows-server users were having. As long as you can still see the images (such as the Mailchimp logo) on our plugin settings pages, the update behaved as normal.

    Thanks,
    Jon

    Thanks for the clarification.
Curiously, in comparing my test platform (where the error message occurred) to the prod platform (where I have not yet attempted the upgrade), it appears that the upgrade deleted a folder called “MailChimp_Assets”, leaving behind only the folder called “Mailchimp_Assets”—both of which contained exactly the same images. So, nothing was renamed; instead, a folder was deleted.
I wonder, though, why WP reported that the upgrade failed when, in fact, it did not fail.

That is curious. I appreciate the insight. Let me know if you run into any further issues.
