Upgrade to 4.2.2

  • Hello I have updated my wordpress to 4.2.2 via the plug in. Now when I go back into my website I have lost the feature slider and my urls were not working properly. This is my website url https://www.videocamerahirebrisbane.com.au can any one point me in the right direction of where I may have gone wrong. I just dont know where to begin to even look? Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

  • Hi Cupcake33, what do you mean with my urls are not working properly?
    Unless the version you had was really old, upgrading wouldn’t cause that kind of issue, maybe di you upgrade the themes also? If you upgrade the theme you were using, was this theme hardcoded? Or you were using a child theme for it?
    Also were you using a plugin for the slider?

    Many thanks Facu Puig….. Many thanks for replying..After I updated my wordpress when I wnet back into my website the www. was not showing in my address bar. It was a simply upgrade from 4.1. I did upgrade the Envisioned Elegant theme. I am not using a child theme for it and the slider was not an added plug in it comes as part of the envisioned theme template.Its not effecting any other pages just the home index page?

    No problem, did you update the theme?
    If you go to ET Themes, the Changelog for Envisioned shows an update.

    version 3.5 ( updated 04-23-2015 )
    – Added minor security hardening
    * epanel/custom_functions.php
    – Improved compatibility with WordPress 4.2
    * includes/functions/sidebars.php
    – Bumped version number
    * style.css

    After upgrade let me know!

    Thanks Facu I updated the theme and it was working OK then the next day I logged in my featured slider was missing and I have noticed now there is no footer as well !!!!… kill me now !!!…

    Ok, I would suggest to re install the theme, what is you host provider?
