    Hi,

I just upgraded to 3.3 and am having a bit of an issue. Most things are working fine – and look great – however, if I have permalinks enabled none of my pages are loaded – I just get a 404. Posts are fine, but no Pages work. If I turn off permalinks I can view them.

    Permalink structure was:
    /%year%/%category%/%postname%/

But the structure does not seem to matter one lick. I swapped through a few of the default options to no avail. All of my posts and search works fine.

    Any ideas?

Thanks for getting back – is there something specifically I need to be asking about? In general mod-rewrite is working, Pages specifically are no longer working, which makes me think that Dreamhost is going to see this is as a WordPress error. Is there a known issue I can refer to?

Is there no solution on this? This is not a known issue in the masterlist but I now have been contacted by other folks to try and fix this same issue on their site. I can’t publish the URL for this site as it is a locked down dev server.

    Any thoughts?

Although not a known issue, have you tried
    – deactivating all plugins (yes, all) to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s). If you can’t get into your admin dashboard, try resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems. Also remember to deactivate any plugins in the mu-plugins folder. The easiest way is to rename that folder to mu-plugins-old

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems. If you can’t log in to change themes, you can remove the theme folders via FTP so the only one is twentyeleven. That will force your site to use it.

Sorry for trying to get around that ‘turn off all the plugins’ requirement.

Events Made Easy (which was Events Manager Extended) seems to be the culprit. I have informed the plugin author and hope to hear back. EME has rewrite rules in it, and seems to break things thoroughly enough that the only way to get things reset is to set permalinks to default (ugly) then set them back to the structure you want. This error happens whether you have the EME pretty permalinks on or off.

    Hope that helps, and thanks!
