Upgrade to 2.7 but keep 2.6.5 admin control panel

How do you upgrade the version of WordPress to 2.7 but keep the 2.6.5 control panel? The Flexible Upload plugin does not work well with WordPress 2.7.
Is this possible? Thanks.
