Upgrade to 2.0.3 cannot login

    I cannot login after I have upgraded to v2.0.3 The error i get is an undefined function call at line 181 in wp-login.php

    When i check, this is the line:

    $cookie_login = wp_get_cookie_login();

    I got around the problem by uploading the wp-login.php from the v2.0.2

    Other than this, everything else seems to work fine. This is really strange. Even stranger is that I seem to be the only one with this problem??

  • It could be a corrupt transfer when you uploaded the 2.0.3 files.

    Try re-uploading wp-includes/pluggable-functions.php, which should contain the wp_get_cookie_login function and see if that fixes the problem.

    nope… seems like I totally fail to upgrade to 2.0.3 really strange… when i upload the new pluggable-functions, it gives me an error on line 21… sigh…

    line 21 of what? wp-login or pluggable-functions?

    Cut and paste the whole error here, there’s not enough info above to help you.

    Also: What are you using to upload 2.0.3?

    OK, I have solved this problem. What I needed to do was to follow the DETAILED instructions. In other words, I had to delete EVERYTHING except those specified by the instrucitons, upload the 2.0.3 files, restored my wp-config and it all worked.

    Seems like when i try to “overwrite” my old files, somehow, they do not get overwritten.

    Anyway, thanks for the help. Seems like WS_FTP does not overwrite files properly… :\
