Upgrade to 1.8.10 kills my blog

  • Yesterday I upgraded this plugin to 1.8.10. The update process was successful, at least it said so, but afterwards my blog was dead. Regardless which URL I tried to load, only an empty response came back.

    I found the below error in Apache’s PHP error log:

    [05-Mar-2020 10:19:48 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function register_block_type() in /.../blog/wp-content/plugins/quick-adsense-reloaded/src/init.php on line 78

    After I had renamed the plugin directory as follows

    mv quick-adsense-reloaded/ quick-adsense-reloaded.DISABLED

    my blog was working again.

    Is this a known issue?
