Upgrade to 1.7.7 causes Google Structure Data validation to fail

    Hello,

    After we have updated to version 1.7.7 all products that have reviews now are failing Google Structure Data Validation. We had to UNAPPROVE most reviews to have Google re-validate the structured data and mark product pages as fixed. This behaviour happened on 2 our eCommerce stores. We have tried to roll-back to version 1.7.6 by restoring plugins files but it didn’t help. It seems the update caused some issues to schema for reviewed products.

    Also, when we looked at the Google Live test of the product page, we see that Google cannot find field “Brand”. When we remove the review for the product and run new Google live page test, the issue goes away, Google can see the brand field .
