I currently host the blog in a separate folder than the root URL and then mapping it back to the root. I have the wordpress URL and the site URL set up in the admin general settings, and followed the examples for the index.php. The blog works fine for the homepage, but the subdirectories (pages and posts) return a server 404 error.

The site worked fine until I recently upgraded to wordpress to 3.2.1. My website is https://shorterdesigns.com/. I another blog set up in the same URL that is running fine, but it uses its folder as the site address.

Please let me know if you would like more details to help me figure this out.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

I was hoping to find a better way to do this, but I just moved the items from the wordpress folder to the root folder. This fixed my issue.

If you do the same, it is best to change the wordpress address in the admin general settings first. I forgot and had to go into the MySQL database to make the change.

You will also need to make sure you turn off the redirects within the htaccess file and in the index.php that were done when it used to work when had the wordpress folder.
