Upgrade problems

I’ve just upgraded to 1.5.1 from 1.2.1 I believe and it’s not working right. My site has no “theme” attached to it. The dashboard looks almost like the website does, with no form. Anytime I click on a link in the dashboard it keeps pointing to a link “wp-admin/wp-images/smilies/wp-images/smilies/wp-images/smilies. . ” It eventually brings me back to the dashboard. Any ideas ?
