Upgrade Lost Layout

I recently did the upgrade to WordPress 2.8.4. Usually I am in no rush to do so, but I heard that there was a bug or something in the old version so I went ahead and did it. I always do the automatic one because I’m not all that technically savvy. When I did so, the next page where it would normally say update complete or what have you never loaded, even after I left the computer on for about an hour. I checked the site (alexislegend.com) and all the posts are there, however my layout is gone. Is there any way I could find all my previous custom settings anywhere on my server or something? I did not perform a back-up, which of course I now realize is a mistake. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
