upgrade issues

  • I am having someone work on my site and they are having issues with uploading my site. This is what they said:

    “we want to deploy its asking for upgrade
    and its different in my window than the client window
    anyone know whats going on?”

    So can anyone help? I know he mentioned they were asking for a credit card to charge $5.00 to upgrade too, I have the latest wordpress so I do not understand this, when I login to my wordpress there is nothing that says that but on his window in my wordpress it does. Does this make sense? thank you

  • @networkmom: Have you yet confirmed whether you have full admin access on the site? For example, can you install new plugins?

    yes I have full access I believe..

    Then if you are not seeing any upgrade messages, you are already using the latest version of WordPress.

    yes but the person working on my site when he logs in to my site he sees the upgrade button that says upgrade and they are asking him for money to upgrade from what he is saying.

    Ask him/her to specify who “they” are.

    You do not need to upgrade WordPress
    WordPress is free and all upgrades are free.

    Well here to find out I was scammed out of $200. he was lying after all. Thanks for everyones help.
