Upgrade issue re blank screen

  • I upgraded using the auto update on the 20th of April. I can login but I get a blank screen. If I go to my files (hosted on Yahoo) and look at them there they are blank. For example: I go to wp-admin and then view the about.php file and it is blank. Any help would be appreciated.

    Try MANUAL updating. Download a fresh copy of the WordPress .zip file to your computer, unzip it, and use that to copy up all files and folders EXCEPT the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory. You may need to delete the old copies of files & folder on your server before uploading the new ones. Read the Manual Update directions first.
    – If you haven’t already done, always backup everything (including your database) before doing any actions, just in case something really goes wrong.

    I up-graded and now can’t Log-In & get this message on blank screen

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_json_encode() in /home/content/55/10380755/html/wp-admin/includes/misc.php on line 668

    Any ideas?

    I restored from my backup from Sunday and am now able to login to my dashboard. Not the best solution but it worked. Not sure what to do about updating now.
