Do the instructions for upgrading from free shopWP to Pro apply to upgrading from WP Shop? My configuration: Bluehost shared hosting->WordPress-Shop WP->Shopify-Printful integration. Please don’t suggest I contact the developer. As of this posting, I left a message on his chat app 28 hours ago, sent my email, and messaged him on LinkedIn. Nothing. Paid support on Bluehost left me waiting on chat for one hour, then they closed the chat on their end. I need to find actual support.

  • Hi there and thanks for reaching out! This does sound like an issue or change that needs some guidance directly from the developer, although we would be happy to review your account to get a better understanding of your issues. If you are able to provide additional details, such as your domain name/site, we would be happy to help troubleshoot further.

We also understand any privacy concerns you may have as well, if you would prefer to reach out to get pointed in the right direction, via social media:

@triboca Hey there, apologies for the delay.

Can you clarify your question for me? I’m unsure what you mean exactly.

I do have an upgrade guide available. Have you tried following this? https://docs.wpshop.io/guides/upgrading-to-pro

Thanks for getting back to me! Yes. The guide only mentions ShopWP. It does not mention WP Shop. As I know little to nothing yet about either, I don’t want to get into a situation where conflicts might arise on installation of your Pro version of ShopWP. If confirmed that I can follow the guide substituting WP Shop for ShopWP, I’m good to go on the upgrade instructions.

And thank you Bluehost for the response and links.

I have solved my problem. I have cancelled my eCommerce web hosting service with Bluehost. Shockingly horrible support. Its affiliates and partners (like www.remarpro.com) keep Bluehost’s ratings artificially high. After more in-depth research, I understand how all this works, and I won’t be fooled again.

@triboca Glad you found the solution!

If you don’t mind me asking, what is WP Shop? Is that another WordPress plugin? My plugin, ShopWP, used to be called WP Shopify about 4 years ago.
