Upgrade from 4.9

    Hi! we want to update our version of yoast plugin from 4.9 to 5.8. Since we are many versions behind we want to be sure that everything will work after the update.

    There’s some checklist or procedure we must follow for that? Any recomendations?

    Hello,
    The auto-update will not work with the 4.9 version of the plugin, so you would need to update using the manual procedure. You can read more about how to do this here.

    While no plugin settings should be lost, we always recommend you perform a backup of your settings by exporting them. To do so, you can follow the instructions here.
