Upgrade files and folder

  • I’ve completed 2 upgrades this morning, one from the previous nightly build and one from a 2.6.5 install. The 2.6.5 upgrade worked fine, but with the rc2 to stable upgrade there are still all of the upgrade files in the wp-content/upgrade folder…

    I saw that these should be deleted during the upgrade process automatically, but they are still there.

    Will it harm the upgrade (or future upgrades) if I manually delete everything under the upgrades folder?

    Also, what are the permissions that should be set for auto upgrading – I had to manually change to 777 to get it to work on a couple of folders.
