Upgrade failure

    Attempted upgrade on an old site, from 3.7 to 4.4.2

    The installer error is:
    Could not copy file.: wp-includes/class-walker-category.php
    Installation Failed

    And the site error message is:
    Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_installing() in /home/fabr1cto/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 1359

    I guess the check for a previous installation failed in functions.php because of the older version, so if I can retreat to 3.7 then I can maybe upgrade to 3.9 then 4.1 ?

    Suggestions please for reversing the 4.4.2 attempt?

    As you were. I’ve solved it.

    I manually re-installed 3.7.1 (minus the Content folder and the config file.)

    Let’s try again!
