    Hi,
    Thanks for a great plugin.
    When using recurring payment plans for costumers, then it’s not possible for the costumer to upgrade/downgrade without losing their money. This seems to be prone to a lot of conflict for whichever website is using recurring payment.
    Is it possible to disable purchases, for the costumers which are using plans with recurring payment? In order to avoid any costumers losing their money when repurchasing.

    Regards

    Hello,

    Thank you for appreciating ARMember Plugin!

    As I understood from your request, you don’t want to allow a member to purchase the same membership plan again if the member has already purchased that membership plan.

    If that is the case, then ARMember does provide a facility to “Hide Current Plans” which will not display the membership plan which is currently owned by a member.

    So, members will not able to purchase the same plan again. You can enable this option from ARMember -> Configure Plan + Signup form page -> Add/Edit Setup form page.

    Please set accordingly and let me know how it goes.

    Thanks,

    Thank you for the swift response! It is really nice getting a bit of help in the early stage.

    Actually I was not so much thinking about costumers purchasing the same membership plan, but instead upgrading or downgrading to other membership plans.
    Is it possible to somehow disable the customer from upgrading/downgrading so they cannot purchase any other plans, when they already have an active plan (recurring payment). So this way they don’t lose the money from their active plan?

    Kind regards

    Hello,

    I understood your concern that once the user has purchased a membership plan then you don’t want to allow to purchase another plan. If so then yes you can achieve this using the ARMember plugin.

    For that, ARMember provides a facility to add Restrict Content Shortcode. Which you can add from WordPress -> Add/Edit Post/Page page above classic editor click on “Restrict Content” shortcode OR for Gutenberg Editor click on Add Block -> ARMember Blocks -> Restrict Content button. After that select “Restriction Type” and “Target Users” according to your requirements. That’s it.

    For more information please refer ARMember documentation: https://www.armemberplugin.com/documents/how-to-provide-restriction-for-specific-content/

    You can add a shortcode as given below example:
    [arm_restrict_content plan=”any_plan” type=”show”]
    {ADD CONTENT FOR MEMBER HAS ALREADY PURCHASED PLAN}
    [armelse]
    {ADD ARMEMBER SETUP FORM SHORTCODE}
    [/arm_restrict_content]

    Please set accordingly and let me know how it goes.

    Thanks,

    THank you very much for all your help. And yes you understand it correctly.
    I will try this method to remove it.

    Is this the best way to make sure customers won’t end up losing the active subscription (with recurring payment), or are there any other ways to get around it?

    Hello,

    Thanks, @imielsen we are so happy that we were able to help.

    Yes, this is the best way you can restrict members to purchase a membership plan if the member has already purchased a membership plan.

    Please if you don’t mind could you please consider giving us a 5-star and a good review this will encourage other clients to try our products.

    Thanks in advance ^^
