• Our site worked great and business was good. And then the new “required” release came out. No backwards compatibility and poor documentation, and our store was completely broken. We had a lot of code using the API, and none of it worked any longer. The website was nearly useless – searches for commands would bring up the old, invalid commands more often than not, so the online help was inaccurate.

Much much months later and we’re still trying to restore functionality.

I sincerely wish I’d never heard of Jigoshop. At least with another ecommerce solution an upgrade wouldn’t have broken *everything*.

  • Hi
First of all: We’re sorry that you have experienced the issues you’ve encountered.
The migration manual clearly states that you should create a full-site backup, so that it would be easy to restore the previous state of the shop, in case that anything should go wrong.
Secondly: I’m not sure if you were using Jigoshop 1.x or Jigoshop eCommerce prior to the “required release”. Not sure which API you have been using, too.

If only you would have contacted our support dept, it would have been easier to determine what exact issues you’re experiencing.

We’re sorry that you have such an opinion about the product – even if it’s not really true.

    Same here ??
All the steps were fine. I have now php 5,6 and the new Jigoshop e-commerce.
Backend it looks ok, the products are here.
    Frontend: only empty pages.
How to fix this? I have saved the data base
