• I have been a longtime user of WP Support. It looks like this is being phased-out in favor of SupportCandy. Recently I noticed that the legacy version (WP Support, that is) is not compatible with the theme and framework of one of my websites. This happened after an update or two ago.

Is it possible to upgrade to SupportCandy and import tickets from WP Support? I have a history of several years’ worth of tickets that I would like to bring to SupportCandy. An added bonus would be if I could also bring over the custom fields, statuses, etc.

    Hello @brettroby,

We are currently working on import functionality from Support Plus to Supportcandy and this will be available in this month (May 2019).

Import will do exactly how you need. It will not only import tickets but also import all possible settings available in both Support Plus and SupportCandy.

Only thing is that you need to be at latest version for both plugins. For support plus, if you are not at latest version at that time, you can backup your website, update support plus to latest version, upgrade database for Support Plus for latest version and finally import it to SupportCandy.

If you want to go back to original Support Plus (earlier installed and working) you will have backup of your website.

Thanks, @supportcandy! I hope that this update is released soon, as it will be very helpful for me. While WP Support Plus is active, it plays havoc on my framework’s editor and makes it so I can’t modify posts and pages. Deactivating the plugin gives me back that functionality, but obviously it’s a big inconvenience to have to deactivate then activate (and so on) when I need to make updates.

In terms of reverting to an older version in the event that I don’t like the new one, I’ll just get used to the new SupportCandy and deal with it. As a general rule, I try not to use things that are obsolete.

As you are using older version, we suggest to wait for import for this month.
