• I updated to the latest Nextgen 2.0.61 from an earlier version and it turns all my plugin links and all links on any page in the backend Dashboard view to unreadable yellow. I purchased pro and had to update it because Pro wouldn’t work without an update to the regular Nextgen. I deactivate 2.0.61 and everything comes back to normal. If I uninstall it and re-install it, will I lose all my galleries? I’m running WordPress 3.9

@yes931 – You will not lose your galleries if you uninstall and re-install NextGEN Gallery (or NextGEN Pro) but I cannot see how NextGEN Gallery would have any affect on any link on your dashboard at all.

I have seen cases where the Dashboard was affected when NextGEN Gallery was installed but the culprit was actually the active theme.

Using your browser’s “developer” tools, are you able to determine which specific stylesheet is being used to change these colors, if its a NextGEN stylesheet that information would be very helpful.

    Thanks!

    Hi Cais,

I’m using the theme’s own style sheet, but I’ve seen this happen on other sites I have that use the same theme. If I completely uninstall NextGen (not Pro), then reinstall the new 2.0.61 instead of just updating the old version, the links turn back to normal black instead of the yellow when just updating. It happened on four sites. I just hate to have to uninstall it on this site because a lot of time went into creating all the galleries and on uninstall it does delete all the galleries unless you can tell me some way to get them back. Thought there might be some other way to fix it.

@yes931 – If you are using the same theme on all of these sites with this issue, is it possible there is a theme conflict going on as we do not use “yellow” links for NextGEN Gallery (or NextGEN Pro).
