upgrade 1.2 to 1.5 – kses problem?

  • I’m upgrading from 1.2 to 1.5 and now get this message when starting wordpress:
    Parse error: parse error, unexpected ‘,’, expecting ‘(‘ in /home2/carltown/netadventures-www/wordpress/wp-includes/kses.php on line 34

    To install, I followed wiki upgrade notes I deleted and copied all files except wp-config. I also did not copy any of the files in the themes folder, keeping the old theme stuff. Any clue as to what happened?
