    hey

I am experiencing difficulties restoring my WordPress website from a Google Storage backup using UpdraftPlus. The error message I am encountering is “updraft_send_command: error: error ()”.

I am currently running the latest versions of WordPress and UpdraftPlus. I have already tried [list of troubleshooting steps you’ve taken, e.g., deactivating plugins, checking file permissions, increasing PHP memory limit].

To provide more context, here is some additional information:

    • WordPress version: 6.6.1
    • UpdraftPlus version: 1.24.4
    • Google Storage setup details: remote storage
    • Detailed error message: updraft_send_command: error: error (). not sure what it means but i get then for all the types: plugins, themes, uploads etc.
    • Steps taken before the error occurred: i already increased my upload upload_max_filesize, post_max_size any memory_limit temporarily.

I would greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide in resolving this issue. Thank you for your time and support.

    Hi,

The error usually means that on your webserver there is a security module which is blocking requests from UpdraftPlus, such as mod_security in Apache. You should speak to your webserver administrator (e.g. web hosting company) to ask them how to turn it off, or how to allow the requests that it is blocking.

    Kind Regards
    Bryle
