• I am setting up a new site for a local organisation and have installed a vanilla Word Press. I am trying to get Updraft working…. it is currently the only activated plugin. I have done the same thing previously on four other sites without issue nd been using Updraft on those for 3+ years.

    I have setup a google account/email for the group and authenticated the Google Drive link (acknowledged by Updraft), but cannot save any settings or make backups… when I try to save (irrespective of what I have selected) I get the message “updraft_send_command: error: error ()”.

    I have no logs, nothing… I have not got past stage 1!

    The website is a subdomain and there are two other websites on other subdomains… both are working fine with exactly the same plugins and settings.

    I can create pages and have configured other plugins like WordFence and Elementor… but I have deactivated them for the moment.

    Any ideas…. Do I re-install Updraft or WordPress?

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there

    Firstly, you had better to backup Worpress install up;

    Secondly, did you already try out to update the Updraft plugin, and your WordPress install to lastest version (also disable the other plugins temporarily)?

    Thirdly, do you use the plugin W3 Total Cache? Look at this post on the Updraft plugin’s support forum.

    Everything is up to date with latest versions…..

    As already stated… It is a vanilla install with everything disabled and no real content created yet, so there is nothing to disable and nothing really to back up.

    I do not use W3.

    The plugins I want to use (and I use on the other two similar sites) are Elementor, EA Add-Ons for Elementor, WordFence, Yoast, WPForms, Firebird… however, on this iteration, only Word Fence had been activated and configured when I started working with Updraft…. I have since used Elementor briefly to check I could create a page and install ‘Hello’ theme. All have now been deactivated.

    Interestingly, I have now tried to create a contact form with WP Forms and that too will not create any content… it gets stuck in the first form creation wizard at choosing a template and will not let me progress with that either… so I am wondering if there is a permissions issue, although it doesn’t explain how Elementor can create a page!

    So by what I could get about your issue. There’s not alternative you should try to post your one on the official support forum of the Updraft plugin.
