We are continuously seeing a large number of “updraft_lock” database entries (thousands per month). Our previous website had UpDraft Plus installed and a small amount of data was migrated to the new site (such as woocommerce orders), but UpDraft was not installed on the new site (at all). What needs to be done in order for these entries to stop being created if the UpDraft plugin is not installed?

    Hi there,

With the previous plugin installation the entries should have been automatically removed.
If the backups failed for any reason this may have resulted in entries not being cleared up.

Without the plugin being installed it’s difficult to see how new entries could be generated.
Is it possible these entries were imported with the data which was migrated to the new site?

    Best regards,

    Nick

Note that there are multiple plugins out there that use the “Team Updraft” locking library, not just UpdraftPlus; e.g. WP Optimize, WooCommerce PDF Invoicing, and others.

@davidanderson Thank you. I was not aware that various other plugins used the same library. I will look into that.
