Updraft Won’t Prepare My “Backup” For It To Be Downloaded

    When I try to download the backup to my computer, it starts to “prepare” to gather my backup information to download. It comes up saying “searching for entity” and no bar appears with an “x” as it use to when it was gathering the backup. It doesn’t gather my backup, so it can be downloaded.


    No changes have been made on my site nor any new app’s have been added. I uninstalled Updraft and downloaded again.

    Did you send your backup to some remote storage, if so can you try downloading it directly from there. If it is on your server, can you download it from the wp-content/updraft directory of your site.

    I wouldn’t know how to send backup to some remote storage.

    I have the screen shots, how do I send them to you?

    Apologies, I meant did you backup to some remote storage or to your server. Have you connected anything like Google Drive?

    No I have not touched, moved or added anything to my site. Updraft has worked fine for 6 months and now it won’t prepare my download, to downlaod to my computer. I don’t see why i would need to go out of my way and go to my server to download backups, when Updraft use to do it for me.

    so all your backups are stored on your server?

    Could you post your backup log from the backup/restore tab using a tools such as pastebin.com

    Could you also do a screen recording so we can see what you see when experiencing the issue?

    What version of php, WordPress and UpdraftPlus are you using?

    Yes backups are on server.

    I have the latest wordpress, Updraft is 1.23.10, PHP should be up to date, waiting on my server to confirm.

    There’s not much to screen shot. The box come up and says

    Begun looking for this entity

    Then is does nothing after that.

    It looks like your “Others” has been deleted from your server.

    Is it just your “Others” that is affected?

    The “Others” is normally just standard WP files included in every install and cache (I don’t bother backing up or restoring this on my sites)
