    Updraft has worked fine until recently, but now it doesn’t backup. It starts to back up, it says “searching for entity” and that’s all it does. No bar or anything else come up. No changes have been made on my site nor any new app’s have been added. I uninstalled Updraft and downloaded again, no luck.

    Hi,

    To help us work out the cause of your problem, can you please send us a copy of the backup log?
    This log can be found in the Existing Backups tab of the UpdraftPlus dashboard.
    If you cannot access the UpdraftPlus dashboard, then you can find the log file in the ‘wp-content/updraft’ directory via FTP or your hosts’ file manager.

    @bcrodua It really would help if you let people know that pasting logs here cannot and will not work.

    Please do not post large code or responses like that here, it doesn’t work after ~10 lines or so. It horribly broke this topic and I deleted it.

    If you need share that data please use https://gist.github.com/ or https://pastebin.com/ or the like instead and post the link to that paste.

    Well if someone had told me that to begin with. So I have to signup on a site somewhere and send it? Little more info would be nice. How does the site work and how and who do I send it to?

    My apologies for not letting you know.

    The log shows “The backup succeeded and is now complete”. The backup appears to have completed. You can check the “Backup/Restore” tab and you will see the backup list.

    @jdembowski apologies, will make sure to inform users to not paste logs here.

    My problem is I can’t download to my computer.

    What I meant to say is, it won’t make a backup for me to download.

    When you say it won’t backup, does the backup initiate or does it does it start and then stop without completing.

    If it starts and then stops can you send us your backup log using a tool such as pastebin.

    If it doesn’t start, is this for manual backups, scheduled backups or both, is the “Backup now” button greyed out if you try and do a manual backup?

    The backup works. It’s when I try to download the backup to my computer. It starts to “prepare” to gather my backup to download. It comes up saying “searching for entity” and nothing happens after that. It doesn’t gather my backup, so that it can be downloaded.

    Apologies for the delay over the weekend.

    Did you send your backup to some remote storage, if so can you try downloading it directly from there. If it is on your server, can you download it from the wp-content/updraft directory of your site.
