Updraft too many backups

Hi, I have it to backup every 12 hours, but it has been ignoring this and backing up ALL DAY LONG – every 5 mins or so – I have loads of email confirmations!!

Prior to this is was set to back up daily but still did it. This issue only started this morning – I have not changed anything or been into the site for a few days so no idea why.

What’s the text in the email reports? We’ve had several reports of this problem before…. and they all were from a different backup plugin which the users had also got install, and which unhelpfully, didn’t include the name of the plugin in the report. The users thought it was UD, but it wasn’t. Can you copy/paste?

Hi, today Updraft Plus is once again backing up constantly.
This kind of corrected itself after my post 2 weeks ago but has started again this morning, and I haven’t been into the site to change anything.

So far today it has backed up and sent me an email 9 times:
07:42, 08:12, 08:30, 09:25, 10:13, 10:25, 10:43, 11:12, 11:34

Hi,
I’m experiencing something similar. I have backup set up every 12 hours, but I am getting a lot more, today I’ve got already 2, yesterday I got 6, the day begore I got the usual 2.
All I have changed recently is that I have requested the email report, which I was not receiving.
I’ve seen also a message in the plugin about too many cron jobs enqued, which I am still trying to understand/fix, but I rather think that this could cause I have less backups, not more.
Any idea on what can be causing this??

After fixing cron, everything is back to normal.
