Updraft retains 20 backups despite setting of 3

    In WP Dashboard > Settings > Updraft Plus Backups > Backup / Restore tab,
    I see 18 backups of database and two backups of Plugins / Themes / Uploads / Others.

    However, my site is configured to retain only 3 of each (Settings tab):
    “Files backup schedule” = Daily, “and retain” = 3
    “Database backup schedule” = Daily, “and retain” = 3
    These visible settings are consistent with the settings I exported (Advanced Tools tab > Export / Import settings; produces JSON file):

    We’re backing up to Google Drive. Web server is Microsoft-IIS/10.0, hosted on Windows.

    The backup log says that it is configured to retain 20 database backups! (retain_db=20):

    How do I change retain_db?

  • Hi @paynestudios

    Can you please try to Wipe settings from UpdraftPlus > Wipe settings, Click the Wipe settings button.

    Then redo the retain Files/DB settings and click save button.

    Check if the value of both files/database is same as the saved settings?
