UPDRAFT does not detec installed mcrypt

The library may be installed, but does phpinfo() say that it is activated in your PHP configuration?

I have the same problem; mcrypt is installed and phpinfo() shows that it is active but Updraft does not detect it.

I am also using PLESK 12.

Please can you copy/paste *all* mentions of mcrypt that you have in phpinfo() ?
