Updraft causes site to be slow and database connection errors

My client’s website uses your plugin for years, without any problems. It creates full daily remote backups to google drive.
About 3 days ago my client noticed that the website is being very slow, even showing database connection error from time to time. We figured out that the issue is related to your plugin. All of the mentioned happens when you plugin is creating backups. Which wasn’t the case before.
Few things that may help you:
– The site uses PHP 7.4
– WordPress and all the plugins are up to date
– Website memory limit is set to 256MB
– WP error and debug logs are empty
– “Split archives” is set to minimum of 25 MB (it was at default of 32 MB before that)
– Apache Module “mod_isapi” is set to default of 300Hosting support says that the issue is caused by mod_isapi limit being exceeded by the plugin:
