updating wordpress 4.2.1

hi I am rishi and i am trying updating my site on localhost which is showing me this
“Warning: An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.remarpro.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums. (WordPress could not establish a secure connection to www.remarpro.com. Please contact your server administrator.) in C:\wamp\www\wordpress\wp-admin\includes\update.php on line 115“
please me this error and after few minutes it shows this error “Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 300 seconds exceeded in C:\wamp\www\wordpress\wp-includes\class-http.php on line 1589” I think something is wrong with installation but not getting the problem, kindly help me out. I am using wamp as local server over wordpress is installed,also tell me how can i check my current version of wordpress. Thank you in anticipation.
