Updating WordPress

  • I have been using WordPress thru GoDaddy’s CPanel for a few wks. Ever since, WP does NOT update automatically.
    It’s already up to v.4.3 and I am still running 4.2.2
    Why does it not update automatically any longer?

  • WordPress only automatically updates minor versions.

    Not true. I’ve been on WP for 5+ yrs and they always auto update.
    The dashboard also always contained an option to update to the latest version of WP.
    Both are now gone from the top of the page.
    My question for WP….am I now going to have to upload files, etc to update the platform? That’s really ridiculous…taking 1K steps backwards.
    Please advise ASAP.
