Updating WordPress 2.2

    Hi,

    A family member has recently asked me to get their blog up to date. It is running WordPress 2.2. Unfortunately the inbuilt “export” function only spits out a corrupted .xml file so I really do not know what to do. Any ideas appreciated.

    You could look at upgrading the current site manually. As you have such an old version of WordPress, you will need to carry out a series of smaller manual upgrades. See Upgrading_WordPress_Extended for the full details.
