Updating WooCommerce Product Type

Hello,

I have a bunch of existing WooCommerce products added as “Simple” products but I’m looking to change them to “Variable” instead. Do I have to set the product type option to “Variable” while setting up the Import or does WP All Import change the product type automatically if there are variations present in the CSV file?

I already have a column in my CSV doc containing existing SKUs and I plan on using this to match products/records.
