Updating Twenty-Senventeen when I have Enfold Theme

Hello,

If you would like to delete the 2017 theme you will need to log in to your admin panel, click ‘Appearance’ and then ‘Themes’. You should then see a list of all themes installed.

Click ‘Theme details’ on the 2017 theme and in the bottom right corner you should see ‘Delete’ (as long as it is not the live theme on your site).

I’ve just run this on my admin panel and it works correctly. Do let me know if there is anything further I can do to help.

You should always have at least two themes available, your active theme and one other. If Something Bad happens to your active theme, you can fall back to the other one.

Steve – I have a child theme created for Enfold. Should I still keep the standard Twenty-Seventeen theme in case something happens?

Yes. If Enfold were go go bad, your child theme would not work.

@krisjl – Thank you. There were actually several themes installed, so I deleted all of them but the Twenty-Seventeen. Waiting to see from Steve if I should keep that one as a back up to the Enfold theme….even though I’ve created an Enfold Child Theme. ??

@sterndata – Thank you. I updated and kept it. So now I have the latest version and a backup plan. Thanks for your help. ??
