Update: I was able to install the updated plugin but now the issue is with the service worker.

I get this error when I run lighthouse.

Does not register a service worker that controls page and start_url
This origin has one or more service workers, however the page (“https://mywebsite.com”) is not in scope.

When I revert back to the previous version it works fine and prompts for A2HS but the issue with that version, even before this issue came out is the push notifications. It sends the push but no message from the post. It Just sends a notice that the app has updated in the background.

I’m sorry to hear that you are having these issues.

Can you share the URL so that I can check and help you fix this?

Here is my site https://pikininihaus.com I will switch it back to your plugin so you can check since I’ve switched to another because of these issues.

If you have time, please check why the service worker scope for the domain is not detected and also why push notification is just sending “This site has been updated in the background” message.

Hoping we can switch back to using your plugin.

    Thanks!

Can you please report this as a bug on https://pwa-for-wp.com/contact-us/

It will help us fix the issue faster.

    Surely.

Btw, I saw a similar issue in your GitHub page no matching service worker detected #138 https://github.com/ahmedkaludi/pwa-for-wp/issues/138, could be related.

    Thanks.

Could be, but if you could report it then it would help us find faster because we are planning to push an update of the PWA today and we can fix those if you help us find it.

    I just did. Thanks again.
