    My site is:

My WordPress site uses the Google Maps Widget plugin (version 1.50). It’s on the footer of every page and works just fine. My problem occurred when I tried update to version 1.55.

WordPress gave me a message that the update was successful.
When I clicked on “return to plugins page,” instead of the normal WordPress plugins page, there was only a blank page. Also, at that point, the plugin was no longer showing up on my site.

Bluehost restored my site to it’s previous state at which point I tried to do the update again. Same thing happened.

Any idea what is going on?

    Hi,
There were practically no updates v1.50 -> v1.55, especially none that would be able to break the site. At the moment you’re running v1.47. I’d suggest manually updating to latest version via FTP (just overwrite the files). If that breaks your site then simply rename the google maps widget folder via FTP and it’ll deactivate. But we have quite a lot of downloads and nobody ever had a fatal error with the plugin so my money would be on something else …

I thought the cleanest approach would be to completely delete the plugin and then re-install it. I just tried that. The installation appeared to go normally. I clicked “activate plugin.” Once again, I ended up with my plugins page being completely wiped out.

https://www.ninainprogress504.us/development/wp-admin/plugins.php is literally a blank page.

The reason I think it might somehow be related to the Google Maps widget is that I updated another plugin without incident, and I updated to the new version of WordPress without incident.

Unfortunately without an error log or direct analysis via FTP this can’t be debugged.

    OK. Thanks.

Try finding the error log and c/p it here. It has to exists somewhere.

    Here it is.

The relevant errors are from yesterday and today. It looks like your plugin is butting heads with my “All In One Events Calendar” plugin.

I don’t see a single reference to any of our files here, but definitely disabled the Calendar plugin for start.

So I disabled the Calendar plugin using your trick of renaming it via FTP.
    That restored my plugins page.

I then activated the Google Maps Widget plugin and this time, nothing broke. Hurray!

Then I re-activated the Calendar plugin, and now everything is honky dory.

So, for reasons I don’t understand, the Google Maps Widget can’t update or be activated when the All In One Event Calendar Widget is activated.

Thank you for helping me find a resolution here.
