Updating theme broke my website

  • I was considering upgrading to the Pro version of the theme today but saw that there was an update available so I did that first. But when it automatically update it gave a few errors and now post won’t load correctly.

    The below error shows up on all of the pages.

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_the_post_thumbnail_caption() in /home/content/59/11038159/html/other/hamilton-today/wp-content/themes/mh-magazine-lite/includes/mh-custom-functions.php on line 145

    I haven’t done any coding in the php at all and don’t play around with that. Not sure what happened or how to revert to a previous version of the theme.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Update: I deleted some text from the mh-custom-functions.php and it seems to have corrected the problem for now.

    Hey:

    The text I removed was that which adds the caption to featured photos. I wish that I’d saved the exact code from the file, which I usually save in a text file just in case, but it looks like I neglected to do this. :/
