Updating the Web-to-Lead Endpoint URL

    Hello, from SL source I have just realised the following:

    To improve the performance of the Web-to-Case (W2C) and Web-to-Lead (W2L) functionality, the endpoint that receives the W2C/W2L form submission data from company websites to create leads/cases in Salesforce will be replaced with a new endpoint with the Summer ‘17 release*. Websites using the W2C/W2L forms will cease to create new cases and/or leads within customers’ Salesforce orgs if the websites are not updated with the new endpoint URL by the Summer ‘17 release.

    I can attempt to amend the plugin myself, but I was wondering if this is on your roadmap anytime soon? I rather avoiding any downtime when the switch will happen.

    It’s on the list. You can override it with a filter today if you want. See other notes.

    Thanks Nick for your prompt reply, and I look forward the update.

    Would not be possible to just amend the “www” into “webto” which is what SF is asking?

    It is, but if I’m going to push a new release, there’s some other items I’m going to include.

    I will wait for your release hoping is going to happened before SF will switch to the new endpoint, in that case I will update myself.

    If we create a new page with a form, we’ll have to manually make the change for each new form page?

    Or will a manually changed Endpoint URL be carried into new form pages?

    Or I should qualify my question… are you saying we manually change the Plugin code once? Or the webpages for forms code each time?

    The filter changes the end point for all forms without changing the plugin code.

    But don’t worry about it- I have a sponsored feature (Google ReCaptcha) which will give me a good excuse to roll up some of these maintenance updates into a new release.

    No chance of some simple GA action hook option for Form Submits being added in the combined update?

    v2.7.1 (just released) uses the new API endpoints.
