Updating Service Worker Doesn’t Update Version # or App Icon

  • Updating Service Worker from 2.2.17 doesn’t update Version # or the app icon being used by the PWA.

    I have followed the advice in one of your sister threads about updating the version number to force update of the app icon, but this is not working for me (?).

    Another strange occurance is that using Advanced > Re-Install Service Worker to update the service worker from 2.2.17 to 2.2.18 does not update the service worker version number. It remains 2.2.17.

    No caching plugins are in use at this time (site is currently in development).

    appears my issue is specific to IOS (iphone 12) for some reason. but overall everything sees to work.

    I am having the same issue, I have a multisite install. I need to update the icon and screenshot but all the steps (caching add-on) and version doesn’t work.

    Is there something I am missing ?
