Updating plugins & theme

    Should I follow similar steps below when I need to update Redis Object Cache plugin, other plugins and theme?

    Disable Redis, do update, enable redis and flush cache.

    Reference:

    1. Disable Object Cache (Tools-> Redis)
    2. Update to 5.5
    3. whatever cache plugin you are using – use:
    clear cache
    Pre-load
    regenerate CSS
    4. Update Redis plugin
    5. FLASHALL

    Most people can just upgrade WordPress without removing the object cache.

    If you site causes trouble, you can follow those instructions, or try a simple “redis-cli flushall” command.
