Updating permalinks after migration

Hey everyone,

I’m in the process of migrating from Blogger to WordPress, and have been reading tutorials on how to make the whole thing easy. There’s one thing that none of the tutorials answered.

After importing my site from Blogger to WP, to be able to retain the same URLs for the old posts, I have to update the permalink structure with
/%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%.html

My question is: Will the new posts that I write also have the same URL format, i.e. /year/month/post name?
Or will the new posts have the normal WP permalinks?

Thanks for any help. I’m new to WP and really confused.
