Updating only description

    Hi, I managed to import all the products I want. The supplier did not provide a description field at the moment. Now he updated his xml with a description field and I want to update only this field to my already imported products. Is there a way to do this? I cannot seem to find such info !

    Hi @progounick,

    If the feed is the exact same other than the description field being added, you can:

    1. Go to Manage Imports -> Import Settings and upload the new feed to the import that originally created the products.
    2. On the same import settings page, use the “Choose which data to update” option to choose to only update the “Content” (i.e. description): https://d.pr/i/HQFr99.
    3. Go to Manage Imports -> Edit Import and map the new description element to the content field.

    Once that’s done, re-run the import to update the descriptions.

    Note: if you need to use a separate import, use Manual Record Matching: https://www.wpallimport.com/documentation/recurring/manual-record-matching/ (make sure to only update the content field).
