Updating image links in old posts

  • Most of my old posts use “/wp-images” as the root source for my post images. I would like to move everything to just the “/images” directory. Does anyone know of a way to do any sort of batch updating with WordPress?

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Option 1: move all images to /images and then make /wp-images a symbolic link to /images. This might need terminal access.

    Option 2: Download a database backup of WordPress. Use a tool to search and replace or simply open in a text editor and do a full search & replace (paths changing, be careful though). Lastly, push back to server.
