Updating group document title duplicates the document

  • We’ve identified an issue with our site where if someone edits the title of a document, a copy of the document is created and is listed against the original (original has title unchanged). The edited document had the new title, but a different original author and different attachment.

    Hi @pauldyke-

    I’m not able to replicate the error that you’re seeing, so I’m guessing that it’s an interaction with another plugin or some theme code. Can you disable your other plugins in batches to find the pairing that results in the issue?

    Which versions of WordPress, BuddyPress and BP Docs are you using?

    Same Problem here. Multisite Installation, Commons in a Box activated. Every edit of a Doc make a new one with Slug: documenttitle-2-2-2…. (German Language). When i de-activated all other Plugins, the Problem not solved. The Problem is at every Theme, testet with: All WordPress Themes, Commons in a Box, Optimizer, etc..

    Is it possible that the Problem came from the german translations? A few Weeks ago, there where a Problem with create Docs at germand WordPress Installations.

    Which version of BP Docs, BuddyPress and WordPress are you using? There was an issue with the German translation files, but we solved that issue over a year ago…

    All the newest Versions. And No, the Problem with the German Translation ist solved now 2 Months. I know it, i looked angry a alternate to Docs, because in German Installations they will not stable and normal work over the Last 1,5 Years. With the Last Update the issue with the German Translation gone and the Problem with duplucate Docs came…

    With a fresh installation of BP Docs and BP, using de_DE locale, I’m unable to recreate your issue. What other plugins are you using? WPML?
