If I delete a photo either on Googles site or Picasa, the photo on my site (phototile) leaves a blank photo with a X in it. It never completely deletes from my site. The only way I can clear it up is to go to Picasa and copy the remaining pictures to a new folder, and then use that new folder within my post.

The same goes when I add a photo to a collection or folder either on Google’s site or Picasa’s site.

Why doesn’t the post on my site update properly?

By default caching is enabled for albums. The cache for the albums within a post should be cleared every time you change the post.

If you do not want to have caching, you can disable it in the settings section. But depending on the number of albums in a post, this can seriously decrease performance.

Thanks for responding. As a test, I removed a video from one of my
albums on Google. Then I went to the Settings for the plugin, uncheck caching, went to the post and refreshed it. The missing picture was gone rather then a blank box.

So, if I know that pictures were added or removed from google, the above steps are necessary all of the time? It would be nice if you could have a ‘Clear Cache’ option somewhere within the options for a particular post.

I am using Zencache on my site. If I have that enabled and uncheck the option in the plugin would that basically be the same as having the option check without a local site cache plugin? It is pretty easy to clear its cache.

Thanks for you help. Love the work you have put into this.

This plugin relies for caching on the wordpress built in mechanisms. So if you are using Zencache, you should be able to clear the cache with Zencache. But I have never tried this out, so it would be cool if you can report whether it works ??
