I updated the footer.php and updated file.

It did not update the website? I had to go into the page and update that page and then I saw the change. How can I get this update across the whole site without having to go into each page?

I am new to wordpress so any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you!

  • Do you have caching on your site? What is the site URL?

    Empathetics.com
I cleared everything and still mlt updating.

You DO have a caching plugin:

<!– Dynamic page generated in 1.000 seconds. –>
    <!– Cached page generated by WP-Super-Cache on 2015-04-03 15:30:32 –>

    <!– super cache –>

so that’s the most likely cause – did you clear that cache under that plugin’s settings?

    and also your browser cache?

How do I do that? Is it within
    WordPress?

Under plugins, find SuperCache and find a “Delete” or “Clear” cache setting.
