updating failed. the response is not a valid json response

We’re running the latest version of Elara (free) on the latest version of WordPress and can’t seem to reproduce this issue- updating posts is working correctly for us in both the classic editor and the block editor.

I looked into details and found that Elara Child theme and Child Configurator plugin is causing the json error. Could you please suggest any resolution of this problem, it will be really helpful. Or I should use only the parent theme without a child theme?

Thanks for the additional info, this is helpful. Just to clarify (for future searchers), the child theme isn’t part of Elara and the plugin author may be better suited to help out with this type of error. That said, the offer above still stands and we’d be happy to take a look if you’d like. ??

On the parent vs child question, that’s totally up to you, but as a general rule you only need the child theme if you’re needing to make edits to the actual theme files (i.e., the changes you require aren’t possible via the Customizer). If you’re not needing to do this, then the child theme wouldn’t really be recommended.
